Practice broad-scope, continuity family medicine without the hospital call schedule. Our physicians see the whole family, from pediatrics to geriatrics, with behavioral health, dental, and pharmacy colleagues down the hall.
What you’ll do
- Outpatient family practice with a consistent clinic schedule.
- Work in an integrated care model, with warm handoffs to behavioral health and dental.
- Teach and precept when we can host residents from the OSU family medicine residency here in McAlester. Space is tight right now, but we’d love to have them regularly.
- Have a voice in how primary care is built in our new facility.
What you’ll need
- MD or DO.
- Board certified or board eligible in family medicine.
- A current, unencumbered Oklahoma medical license, or eligibility for one.
- Nice to have: community health center experience and an interest in precepting.
Loan repayment
- Caring Hands is an NHSC-approved site with a primary care HPSA score of 18. Eligible physicians can pursue up to $75,000 in tax-free federal loan repayment.
- If you qualify, Oklahoma’s rural physician program can stack on top, up to $200,000 over four years.
- Every year here counts toward Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
